The Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center (RARCC) has embraced a new name; NORA. NORA stands for Nurture, Outreach, Resilience, and Advocacy. Each word defines the essence of what the non-profit does for their community. Nurture: provides support during situations that require emergency intervention. Outreach: is the concept of educating the community. Resilience: focuses on building resilience among families and children. Advocacy helps survivors through the journey of healing.
NORA provides care services, awareness, and education at no cost to City of Riverside communities and its survivors. As their mission statement states:
Our rape crisis center provides culturally responsive and inclusive advocacy, support and services to survivors and families affected by sexual violence including sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse; and provides community education to achieve awareness and prevention of sexual violence.

The agency has a 24/7 hotline that provides care and support services to those affected by sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse. The hotline provides advocacy, counseling, survivor support, and legal rights.
The 24/7 Hotline is (951) 686-7273 / (888) 686-7273.

Outreach is one of their tools to educate the community and promote awareness of sexual violence. They have three major program focuses: crisis intervention that provides the emergency response necessary; client care that helps build child and family resilience and community engagement which promotes building safe communities. Each program provides an extensive service that ranges from: survivors advocacy and case management, counseling, educating teens and adults; and law enforcement and professional training.
